On Non-Perturbative Results in Supersymmetric Gauge Theories - A Lecture

Some notions in non-perturbative dynamics of supersymmetric gauge theories are being reviewed. This is done by touring through a few examples.

The Brauer Group of a Smooth Orbifold

Let $k$ be a field and $X/k$ be a smooth quasiprojective orbifold. Let $X\to \underline{X}$ be its coarse moduli space. In this paper we study the Brauer group of $X$ and compare it with the Brauer group of the smooth locus of $\underline{X}$.

Birational invariance of the $S$-fundamental group scheme

Let $X$ and $Y$ be nonsingular projective varieties over an algebraically closed field $k$ of positive characteristic. If $X$ and $Y$ are birational, we show their $S$-fundamental group schemes are isomorphic.

Wiener Tauberian theorem for hypergeometric transforms

We prove a genuine analogue of Wiener Tauberian theorem for hypergeometric transforms. As an application we prove analogue of Furstenberg theorem on Harmonic functions.

Characters of real special 2-groups

It is well-known that special 2-groups can be described in terms of quadratic maps over fields of characteristic 2. In this article we develop methods to compute conjugacy classes, complex representations and characters of a real special $2$-group using quadratic maps alone.

Comments on $T\bar T$, $J\bar{T}$ and String Theory

These notes contain some aspects of the holographic duality between the perturbative superstring on current-current deformations of $AdS_3\times S^1\times{\cal N}$ and single-trace $T\bar T$ and $J\bar T$ deformed $CFT_2$.

Certain properties of continuous fractional wavelet transform on Hardy space and Morrey space

In this paper we define a new class of continuous fractional wavelet transform (CFrWT) and study its properties in Hardy space and Morrey space. The theory developed generalize and complement some of already existing results.

On the algebraic fundamental group of smooth varieties in characteristic $p>0$

We define an analog in characteristic $p>0$ of the proalgebraic completion of the topological fundamental group of a complex manifold.

A higher Grothendieck construction

The main objective of this paper is to construct a homotopy colimit functor on a category of functors taking values in the model category of quasi-categories.

On the cigar CFT and Schwarzschild horizons

Aspects of shock waves and instantly-created folded strings operators in the supersymmetric $SL(2)_k/U(1)$ CFT, and their relevance to the near-horizon physics of Schwarzschild black holes in perurbative superstring theory, are presented.
